There are so many ways that you can support the work God is doing through Campfire! Please prayerfully consider whether you can assist on one of our committees or as a volunteer during one of our Camp programs, whether you could make Campfire! part of your regular prayers before the Throne of Grace, and whether you could contribute financially either regularly or with one-time gifts.
Gifts
Through our past Let it Shine capital fundraising campaign, we were able to raise over $650,000 in donations and pledges. This wonderful response from our supporting community allowed us to move forward with the first phase in the construction of our facilities and we continue to praise God for this display of His richness towards us. However, much work remains to be done at the site. We are currently busy with the various construction projects (see Our Facilities page) and remain committed to a regular program of repayment on our long term construction financing debt. Please consider supporting our organization through your charitable giving or through the supply of labour or materials to our ongoing construction activities. Supporting Campfire! can also be done through regular contributions. We count on these for the ongoing upkeep of our facilities and the operation of our annual Summer Bible Camp programs.
Participation in our annual Spring Banquet and Golf Tournament is another way to help. These events are a lot of fun and the funds raised contribute to ongoing operating costs. Please watch for details on this site, through Church bulletins and in the Campfire! newsletter, published quarterly.
You may also choose to support Campfire! by helping a child attend camp who could not otherwise come. All of our guests from downtown Hamilton as well as several each year from Christian homes where resources may be limited, are sponsored. A donation of $235 will cover one camper's registration fee. A donation of $25 will purchase a Bible for one camper. Of course, any donation is gratefully received. Cheques can be made payable to Campfire! and all donors will receive a tax receipt.

Time
Your gift of time is invaluable. Every year Campfire! is blessed with literally hundreds of volunteers who devote time to being God's instruments in this work. The ways to help are numerous. You could serve on a committee; help with a special construction project, workday or clean-up day at the property. You could assist in fund-raising, or serve in one of the many roles needing to be filled each year at Campfire! These include counselors, counselors-in-training, cooks, nurses, bus drivers, life guards, handy persons, cooks, helpers, and teams willing to come in on a Saturday afternoon during camp to clean (please see Volunteer Opportunities). Whatever your age or interest, there's a spot for you!
Prayer
Whether or not you are able to help financially or with your time, we ask that you remember the work of Campfire! in your prayers. We have always been convinced that "Unless the Lord builds the house those who build it labour in vain." (Ps, 127:1) Prayer is the lifeblood of our organization.
Please pray for wisdom and guidance for those people involved in managing Campfire!, whether at the Board level, the various committees, our Summer Staff members, our Property Manager and his family, and those who run and are involved in the various camp programs.
Pray that God will bless the preparation for Camp and the day-to-day activities of our programs, giving strength, energy, wisdom, enthusiasm and love to the leaders, the counselors and all those involved. Pray for safety in traveling, in swimming, in hiking, in all of the various activities that make up the different camp sessions. Pray that the leaders may be enabled to be sensitive to and truly minister to the needs of all those who attend and that through it all, glory will be given to our most great and awesome God. Ask that the Lord will impact many lives through Campfire!, building faith and joyful commitment to Him in all those who attend.
