Campfire Counsellor/CIT
Counsellors
have a fantastic position at camp! They work in pairs and have a 'cabin pack' of four to six campers in their care. Counsellors lead cabin pack devotions, encourage and mentor campers, and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Counsellors work closely with the staff to meet the needs of their campers. All counsellors are required to fill out a written application form and participate in the counsellor-training weekend. Counsellors must be turning 18 years of age (or older) during the year they attend camp.
Counsellors-in-Training (CITs)
are all first-time counsellors at Campfire! This is an excellent opportunity to get introduced to camp by working with an experienced counsellor. CITs need to fill out a written application, attend an Interview/Information evening, and participate in the counsellor-training weekend. CITs must turning be 17 years (or older) during the year they attend camp.
Please note that there are two separate application forms: One for returning counsellors and one for Counsellors-in-Training.

Police Checks
It is Campfire! policy that every volunteer must submit a police check prior to volunteering at camp. This is an important and necessary precaution to help ensure the safety of the children who come to camp. Information regarding obtaining a police check will be mailed to each counsellor after their application has been recieved by the Campfire! Counsellor Committee.
Campfire! Sunday Night Arrival Policy
